Pigeons

It’s easy to nibble your way through Paris.
Baguettes.
Croissants.
Pastries.
Chocolates.
Cheeses.
Nougats.
Even pigeons do it.
Wait for crumbs from passersby.
Do they they grab discarded tickets, too?
Tour Eiffel.
Louvre.
Orsay.
For they do seem cultured.
Flocking together, knees, plié.
Hopping, changing feet, jeté.
Pecking, poking as they frappé.
En l’air, feathered bird ballet!
